Are you 60 and older? Interested in learning the art of fused glass?
Campbell County Public Library is coordinating another Creative Aging class, thanks to a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council.
Roxanne West, Thunder Basin High School Art Teacher, will teach students to make plant stakes, sun catchers, slumped plates or bowls, and a standing sculpture while learning about glass cutting tools and skills, techniques of fusing and slumping kiln formed glass, as well as proper use of work space, safety, and terminology. Each lesson will build on previous knowledge beginning with history, methods, and color theory.
When: Mondays and Wednesdays; November 13, 18, 20, 25, December 2, 4, 9, 11
Time: 3:30-5:30pm
Where: Thunder Basin High School Room 320
As with other Creative Aging classes, students must be age 60+ to attend. Preference given to students who have not attended previous Creative Aging classes.
