Campbell County Public Library is pleased to host a three-part series, that started March 14, and a Saturday seminar addressing end of life planning. This event is coordinated by Vicki Kissack, Advance Funeral Planner, Gillette Memorial Services. Join us for one or all of these free sessions to learn how to navigate the final chapter of your life or your loved one’s life.
Thursday, March 28, 1-3pm
Finish Your Thoughts: Richard Erb, P.C., Attorney & Counselor at Law
Richard will discuss creating a list of, completing, and preserving essential documents. Learn about Advance Directives, Release of Information vs. Power of Attorney, and Final Wishes Planning.
Saturday, April 6, 9am-2pm: Endings–End of Life Symposium
9am Welcome: Vicki Kissack, Advanced Funeral Planner
9:15am Counting Cards: Guy Casablanca, Author, Licensed Funeral Director, and Mortician
Guy shares his personal journey of grief and loss. He will teach how to handle the cards we are dealt.
10:15am More to the Picture: Corrine Thompson, Funeral Director Apprentice
Corrine shares the challenges and success of planning her life after her personal loss as a child. She will discuss how to create a more meaningful funeral that will lighten the burden for those who are left behind.
11am Thanks for Your Service: Sandy McFarland Veterans Service Officer
Sandy will provide information about Veterans burial benefits.
