Campbell County Public Library welcomes Wyoming award-winning writer Reatha Thomas Oakley to present a character development writing workshop on Saturday, October 14 from 1-3pm.

Oakley first presented this interactive workshop at the 2018 Wyoming Writers’ Conference. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn techniques to create complex, vivid, and unforgettable characters and then bring them to life with realistic and effective dialogue.

Since 2017, when Oakley returned to creative writing after decades away, she has received twenty-two awards from Wyoming Writers, Inc., including multiple first place awards in Adult and Children’s Fiction, Flash Fiction, and Stage Play categories, as well as placing in Nonfiction and Poetry. She has pieces in two WyoPoets chapbooks, received two WyoPoets awards, and placed in Writers’ Digest Short Fiction and Poetry contests. Oakley is part of Prairie Pens local writing group that includes other award-winning as well as emerging members.
