Campbell County Public Library is celebrating all there is to love about your library today as we wrap up "Love My Library" National Library Week!

Local artist Kim Silbaugh is teaching this beginner non-traditional series painting class at CCPL on April 13, 1pm. It's free and all supplies are provided thanks to The Library Foundation Inc.

Kim will help students will create a sequenced series of three 5 x 7 paintings in the mood or style of a famous artist Wolf Kahn, a landscape painter. Learn simple techniques of color blending and color theory to demonstrate a sequence of a landscapes using watercolor paper and oil paints. Rather than a brush, students will paint using fingers, sticks, old brushes, etc. Be ready to get your hands dirty!

Sequencing can show a series not quite captured by one picture – panoramic pictures showing a series “stitched together.” Additionally, it can show the same item/landscape viewed through various lighting as seen throughout the day.
