As part of our Love My Library National Library Week celebration, Campbell County Public Library is excited to host a special conversation celebrating retro baking recipes from the past with one of social media's favorite bakers and author of Baking Yesteryear: The Best Recipes from the 1900s to the 1980s - B. Dylan Hollis!
Travel back in time on a delicious decade-by-decade jaunt as Hollis discusses some vintage (and unique!) forgotten greats, as well as some of the recipes that maybe should have stayed in the past. With a big pinch of fun and a full cup of humor, you’ll learn about everything from chocolate potato cake from the 1910s to avocado pie from the 1960s. Join us and be some of the first to learn more about Dylan's new book, Baking Across America: A Vintage Recipe Road Trip! He will share some insights on his cross country adventure to find the best baked goods in the USA.
Baking Yesteryear will be available for sale (while supplies last) thanks to The Library Foundation Inc. Join the author for a book and Baking Across America (May, 2025 release) bookplate signing following his presentation.
Reserve your Baking Yesteryear book and your Baking Across America bookplate today!
Aaand...don't miss your chance to sample some recipes from Baking Yesteryear, prepared by CCPL staff members!
