Event Details

Campbell County Public Library welcomes award-winning middle-grade author Dusti Bowling to Campbell County Public Library September 30 and October 1 and 2, thanks to Campbell County Public Library’s (CCPL) annual 5th grade author program. CCPL proudly partners with the Campbell County Community Public Recreation District each year to bring award-winning authors to our community.

Campbell County 5th grade students will visit CCPL to meet the author and the public is invited to a program on Wednesday, October 1 at 7pm. Bowling will speak about her writing career and host a book signing following her presentation. Books, including her latest release, Holding on for Dear Life, will be available for purchase.

Bowling grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona, where, as her family will tell you, she always had her nose in a book. She released her first middle grade novel in 2017 and hasn't stopped writing since.

Dusti's books have won the Reading the West Award, the Sakura Medal, a Golden Kite Honor, the William Allen White Children's Book Award, and have been nominated for over fifty state awards. Her books are Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selections and have been named best books of the year by the Chicago Public Library, Kirkus, Bank Street College of Education, A Mighty Girl, Shelf Awareness, and many more.

Dusti currently lives in Eagar, Arizona with her husband, three daughters, and a bunch of farm animals.
